Social media plays a big part in a brand strategy. Over the last decade or so, it
has come to [sit at the table with the big boys like PR](http://chatterblast.wpengine.com/blog/are-pr-and-social-media-merging-into-one/)
and advertising.

People like me come in to develop social media strategies that align with the brand.
And a _huge piece_ of the social media strategy puzzle is designing and executing**
creative campaigns**.

Components of social media can include:

 * **[Content Marketing](http://www.exacttarget.com/blog/the-30-most-genius-content-marketing-examples-of-2014-so-far/)****—**
Content marketing is defined as a technique of publishing relevant and interesting
content (that people ACTUALLY want to read) with the end goal of attracting and
engaging with the online target audience. For example _Cheerios_ produced an
amazing video content series on YouTube which focuses on their primary consumers.
In this short clip called, [#HowToDad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQcX3pOJxbk),
they focus on the current day “cool-guy” father figure.

 * **Creative Campaigns** — These types of initiatives normally live on multiple
social channels and require a bit more creative commitment and ask for some type
   of audience involvement.

So what does that look like? _Starbucks_ challenged their online audience to get
creative and customize the brand’s iconic white cups using [#WhiteCupContest](http://blogs.starbucks.com/blogs/customer/archive/2014/04/22/white-cup-art-contest.aspx).
With over 4,000 entries this campaign was a total success and [casino online](http://www.svenskkasinon.com/)
gained tons of social traction.

It’s not uncommon for larger brands and organizations to have continual and sometimes
_multiple_ creative campaigns running _simultaneously_. Campaigns can take the shape
and forms of sweepstakes, contests, quizzes, polls and awards. They can be housed
on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube.

**But here’s the rub:** not every brand or business has a Starbucks budget for creative
campaigns_, if you know what I mean_.

So what happens if you happen to be a brand, organization or even individual _without_
social media or communication teams to brainstorm, plan and execute creative campaigns?
Luckily there are third party tools such as [ShortStack](http://www.shortstack.com/)
and [OfferPop](https://www.offerpop.com/) that offer pre-created campaign layouts
and promotions to help expedite the creative process.

Recently we’ve checked out another campaign tool founded in 2010 called [WooBox](https://woobox.com).
Here’s the breakdown of what it offers:

**WIN #1:**

Similar to other resources, WooBox helps users create different types of contests,
quizzes and other interactive elements to promote audience growth and engagement.

[⌊Blog2⌉⌊Blog2⌉[

Most recently they’ve expanded their highly customizable _trivia quizzes,_ allowing
users to create questions and answers with both text and imagery, and even give
participants the option to create [brackets and leaderboards](https://woobox.com/bracket).

Bonus: they have TONS of case studies and examples of each campaign type on their
website.

**WIN #2:**

While the creative template and layouts are an obvious reason to sign up, another
layer of benefit this tool offers comes with the ability to [promote and analyze](https://woobox.com/promotionads)
results on any Facebook WooBox offers straight through their platform.

**WIN #3:**

Last but not least, you can sign up for this platform absolutely [FREE](https://woobox.com/pricing).

[⌊blog3⌉⌊blog3⌉[

While not all features are available through the free membership, you’re able to
familiarize yourself with the platform and use their free apps for various tab layouts
and contests.

With those three wins, we’re crowning this as a tool to keep on the radar and check
out!
