Here at ChatterBlast, we appreciate good food. Luckily, Philadelphia is home to the tremendous Reading Terminal Market, AKA foodie headquarters. As many of us are unable to get our RTM fix as often as we would like, photos are the next best thing. If you can’t taste it, at least you can admire it! Let’s be real, who doesn’t revel in looking at beautiful, mouthwatering food pics. (Am I right?!)
Here are five of Reading Terminal Market’s most drool-worthy Instagram accounts that you should follow. However, I have to warn you: You will get hungry.
Iovine Brothers Produce (@iovinebrothersproduce)
Not only is Iovine Brothers Produce, the biggest produce supplier in the Market, they are also on top of their social media game. If you #lovelocal fruits and vegetables, follow their account for vibrant images of your favorite fresh goodies.
Flying Monkey Bakery (@flyingmonkeyphilly)
The close-ups of Flying Monkey Bakery’s homemade whoopie pies, cupcakes, and other luscious treats will have you licking your phone screen. Each post will leave you wondering how it is possible for something to look so good.
Pearls Oyster Bar (@Pearlsoysterbar)
Pearl’s Oyster Bar’s Instagram was going strong until they hit a drought about 10 weeks ago. Scroll through their feed for unreal photos of eggs benedict, oysters and fully loaded French toast. Come back to the Instagram world, Pearl, your followers miss you!
L. Halteman Family Meats (@l_halteman_family_meats)
L. Halteman Family Meats’ Instagram account captures meat at every stage. Expect to see lots of shots of their super-stuffed hamburgers, thick-cut bacon, and other meats ready for the grill. They are relatively new to the ‘gram, so let’s help get them off the ground!
Melt Kraft (@Meltkraft)
I love cheese. I love the idea of it, I love looking at it and most of all, I love eating it. So naturally, Melt Kraft’s account is one of my favorites. Their feed is filled with up close and personal shots of gooey, cheesey goodness. Good luck getting grilled cheese off of your mind after looking at this account.
Beiler’s Donuts (@Beilersdonuts)
Beiler’s Donuts have been named “one of America’s best dessert spots” by Fodor’s Travel Guide and are extremely popular in the Market (peep their line on a Saturday morning). Their Instagram page is no exception, showcasing heavenly photos of their ever-so-delicious doughnuts. This account can be extremely dangerous, especially if you work only a few blocks from the Market.
La Divisa Meats (@ladivisameats)
As a former vegetarian (college dining was too hard without some chicken), photographs of meat can be rather unappetizing and somewhat disgusting. However, La Divisa Meats has done a wonderful job making their products look beautiful. In my opinion, La Divisa has the most photogenic meats on Instagram, but you can be the judge of that.
Reading Terminal Market (@rdgterminalmkt)
Follow Reading Terminal Market itself for an insider’s sneak peek of what the Market and their merchants have to offer, one photo at a time. Whether you are looking for lunch ideas, craving something sweet, or curious about an upcoming event, their Instagram account, managed by our superstar Community Coordinator intern Nora, has got you covered.
