Ever hear the saying: “The cobbler’s children have no shoes.“?

It refers to the phenomena where professionals who are successful at doing something don’t demonstrate that in their own business. We here at CBM are so successful in helping others tell their own digital stories, sometimes our own get forgotten. As Creative Director, part of my job is to make sure our voice is as clear on the web as it is during my America’s Got Talent auditions. So, we’ve developed a new marketing plan, and I proudly share it with you since it is one that most organizations could successfully enact.

Make Your Home A Showplace: First, did you see our fabulous website? Well, you’re ON IT. Welcome to our new digital digs, the ChatterBlast online home! This brand-new stunningly beautiful website represents the culmination of several months of work by two highly creative teams. Its clean design, sleek structure and delightful features are gifts from our designers and partners At Media. They worked on a tight timeline, with probably the most difficult of clients – another creative company. After partnering with At Media on two web presence projects with Comcast, we believed they were the right team to develop our online vision. What do you think? Equal gratitude has to be given to our clients and staff who also worked hard to build our new digital palace. Each account manager carefully worked with their clients to help build our incredible case studies, so please check them out. While we might be only a 5 year-old company, we are an online leader – and recognized that when we did this dramatic refresh.

Embrace the blog! You will also find that our full team is trying to dispel the cobbler’s phenomenon by consistently providing content for our blog. At the heart of every social media marketing strategy are well-written blog posts. You won’t have to worry about every one of them springing from my unique brow, we will continue to feature the ideas and voices of every junior and senior blasters. Multiple voices make a powerful chorus. Blogs are critical to SEO and to keeping your community traveling back to your website for updates and entertainment. If you don’t have one yet, shame on YOU.

Socializing: As a social company, we clearly see the value in multiple social sites. Check us out on Facebook for company culture, some clever client news, and all our quirky thought leadership. Twitter is where we really get into the mix with our partners, peers, and even competition. If you want to see how cute I am, or pictures of me with dogs and babies, follow Instagram! And finally, LinkedIn is a solid place for pure thought leadership without any filler. And Google Plus….well, we are just phoning it in like the rest of yah. Coming soon? Who knows! Coming never? Pinterest!

You’ve Got Mail! Finally, Our infrequent e-blasts are probably a blessing, after all – who out of us is really craving another addition to our inbox? But for those of you who don’t follow us on multiple social channels, we could certainly be a bit more aggressive in our engagement. Moving forward, you will be hearing from us on a quarterly basis. Unless we have something incredible to say, or perhaps a party invite to share. But, we know subtle e-mail marketing is the most impressive marketing of all.

So, welcome to the all new ChatterBlast Media digital domain! Feel free to drop me an e-mail with questions, critiques and concerns!
