Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will have primary responsibility for generating gross profit revenue by selling digital services, maintaining client business relationships, building partner relationships and developing new accounts through direct, face-to-face contact and prospecting. You will be responsible for successfully managing our customer experience throughout the entire sales cycle and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. You will be held accountable for developing a go-to-market sales strategy and coordinating the appropriate resources necessary to achieve the desired results. As a valued team member, you will be required to provide input into strategic marketing activities, interact with management and staff members, and work under limited direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a qualified pipeline of opportunities through various prospecting efforts.
  • Evangelize and facilitate the creation/identification of new business opportunities.
  • Understand customer's goals, existing capabilities, and other factors that influence their buying decisions.
  • Articulate how emerging trends can lead to the success of new business objectives.
  • Competitively position and sell ChatterBlast services and solutions to prospective customers.
  • Lead and manage sales campaigns from identifying opportunities, to orchestrating resources, write proposal, negotiating, and closing the sale.
  • Take the initiative to establish personal relationships with influencers and decision makers.
  • Maintain a healthy network of clients, prospects, brand advocates and influencers.
  • Work directly with the CEO to assist with proposals and business development, as necessary.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Self-driven, highly focused, results oriented and quality decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills, both verbal and written.
  • Consultative, value-oriented selling approach with an attention to detail.
  • The ability to orchestrate resources in a team-selling environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Consistent follow-up and follow-thru on all assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree with 2-5+ years successful sales experience.
  • Strong Philadelphia based network that expands across the Northeast and Mid-atlantic market.
  • Strong understanding of the local business economy including community-based organizations.
  • Solid understanding of social strategies and digitial technologies.
  • A clear methodology to develop a strong pipeline of new customers, and/or find new projects within existing accounts.
  • Experience in selling at multiple levels of an organization.

Intern Program

The ChatterBlast Media intern program, dubbed affectionately the Junior Blasters, is an opportunity for undergraduates to work in a fast-paced and collaborative agency in a variety of roles. CBM leadership will work with colleges to ensure students receive college credit in applicable programs. Junior Blasters have the opportunity to work directly with all agency staff, including the CEO and Creative Director.

Many of our interns have gone on to paid positions within our agency, as well as being recommended for various positions in the regional marketing/advertising arena. If you're dynamic, disruptive, and disciplined - this is an internship for you. Interns should be available for 15 to 20 hours per week in our offices, have their own laptops and have stellar skills for one of the following roles.

Account Management

We’re looking for an Account Management intern with the professionalism to deal with local and national level clients as well as the moxie to roll up their sleeves with our account team to deal with keeping all manner of day-to-day operations on track.

We are looking for someone who is hyper-organized with high attention to detail and a passion for social media, marketing and advertising. You’ll have plenty of client-facing opportunities, and the ability to contribute to the planning and execution of a variety of creative projects across all of our accounts. Responsibilities:

  • Sit in on key client meetings and calls and develop notes, next steps and key takeaways.
  • Gather peer, competitor and client research to help inform creative briefs.
  • Take an active role in account organization, project management and asset and resource tracking.
  • Work with our creative team to help move assignments through the creative process to secure on time delivery for clients.
  • Help organize, run and re-cap internal brainstorms for creative campaigns, content campaigns, ad plans and new business.
  • Maintain monthly hourly reporting for all clients.
  • Research new account opportunities, partnerships and collaborations.
  • Research and report on creative campaigns for planning purposes for creative and advertising campaigns.
  • Conduct influencer research and help establish engagement plans.

Copywriter

We’re looking for an exemplary wordsmith to help craft marketing and advertising messages that are as disruptive as they are unique. We want people who truly do think out-of-the-box, the kind of person with a multi-colored resume and who writes Flyers fanfic.

If you’re a marketing, advertising, or public relations person – be prepared to show creative copy that is not hampered by the constraints or judgments of those tired, boring, old institutions.

Students with backgrounds and experiences in: creative writing, song writing, poetry, improve, theater, and comedy – YOU all should apply. Students with different point of views, unusual voices, wacky thoughts, wild ideas, and untapped dreams are going to the FRONT of the line.

You’re going to write… You’re going to write a lot…. You’re going to make the boring into exciting, the uninteresting into the fascinating. You’re going to make people pay attention to you.

  • Manage content calendars, including edits and scheduling entries.
  • Concept, develop and implement creative campaigns across a variety of networks and clients.

  • The ability to write and self-edit.
  • Knowledge of proper grammar and spelling is a must.

Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer, you’ll be working with Creative Division to create beautiful designs that enrich our user experiences, and you’ll have the opportunity to help bring some “razz-ma-tazz” to our Business Development and Account Management teams. Have ideas to make our reports, strategy documents and proposals look more breathtaking? Have at it!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creating various design deliverables, including custom visual assets for social sites supporting visuals for creative content for all clients.
  • Create visual assets for internal needs such as reports, presentation decks, social content and seasonal campaigns.
  • Create designs, icons and layouts that adhere to and extend the company brand.
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Responsible for networking and assisting with outside partners and vendors, including branding agencies, public relations firms, graphic design teams, and web development organizations.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other design platforms.
  • Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting tight deadlines.

Research & Reporting

We’re looking for a Research & Reporting intern to dig deep into the digital depths for our clients and tease out insights and inspirations that allow us to build the best strategic work possible.

We are looking for MUCH more than a cave-dwelling data mole. You’ll be working with both the Accounts & Creative Divisions to create rich, insightful reports for our current clients, as well as working on the strategic side helping research peers, competitors, partners, influencers and competitors for new and existing clients. Like listening in on conversations? You’ll be doing that in the digital space, monitoring and analyzing engagements and the life cycle of content.

We understand that you may not have worked with some of these platforms before, so a willingness to learn is important. We will train you on the specifics, but you need to have a built-in excitement for the topic!

While this is an unpaid position, you will get incredible portfolio experience, great references, an incredibly fun and relaxed work environment and an amazing team of mentors, teachers and collaborators.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data using native and third party software tools such as FB Insights, Sprout, Brandwatch, etc.
  • Conduct influencer research and help establish engagement plans.
  • Contribute to high-quality, client ready research reports.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the brands we represent and report these to appropriate parties.
  • Own sections of client reports and be responsible for data quality and analyses.
  • Work directly with the accounts team to improve the social media research processes.
  • Research potential clients, partners & opportunities according to the CBM business development plan.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and team members to create successful proposals for new client projects.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of reporting methods and metrics across social platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel; knowledge of Google Analytics & FB Insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of social platforms and the specific functions and measurable aspects of each.

Digital Graphics and Video

In this role, you’ll be working with our Creative team to shoot, edit and develop small and medium-scale visual projects: photos, videos, graphics, GIFs, memes, and more. You’ll have the opportunity to help create powerful and dynamic visuals for internal projects and client work. Please include links to a portfolio or relevant work in your application.

You will get plenty of portfolio experience, great references, a fun and relaxed work environment and an experienced team of mentors, teachers and collaborators.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creating of various photo, video and graphic deliverables, including custom visual assets for social sites supporting visuals for creative content for all clients.
  • Create visual assets for internal needs such as capabilities presentations, content creation and a long-term internal video project
  • Create designs, icons and layouts that adhere to and extend the company brand.
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 5+ including Premiere Pro and After Effects/Final Cut Pro.
  • Capable of working with multiple types of camera and video equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of basic lighting techniques.
  • Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Must have access to video equipment and a laptop computer.
  • 15-20 hours per week at our Center City office.
