Associate Graphic & Motion Designer

ChatterBlast Media is seeking an associate graphic & motion designer to support the company’s expanding need for visual content. The associate designer will be working directly with our lead graphic & motion designer and creative team. The company has a strong brand focused on creative, strategic, and effective digital and social media marketing, consulting, and training.

As a designer in a web-first setting, the ideal candidate must have a firm grasp on what types of visual content performs best in the digital space. You should have a solid understanding of design principles and a consistent commitment to sharp and clean design that meets goals for multiple different brands and clients. We need someone who can visualize, conceptualize and produce engaging content for a consumer product on one day and a non-profit the next. Do you you have motion graphic skills that can engage a user scrolling through social? Good. Can you throw together a hilarious gif that will stop a Tweeter in their tracks, if only for an extra second? Hooray! Have an outstanding portfolio of work to back these claims up? Perfect.

Applicants should have sufficient educational background to have mastery on all necessary platforms and tools, as well as an interest in learning new tools and expanding their creative abilities. Applicants are encouraged to have at least one year of experience in their field. Applicants must have a passion for digital trends combined with an understanding of design, leadership, and self-motivation. You are curious and collaborative, you have the ability to understand a client’s wants/needs, and you can bring an idea to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts and visuals used in a variety of creative projects, including presentations, websites, and social media campaigns. Must be able to reconfigure the same graphic for multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Demonstrate experience in creative materials of all visual formats including: typographic, illustrative, graphic, and animated elements.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in fine arts, design, advertising, communications and/or related fields.

  • Portfolio of work to demonstrate your craft across social media and digital projects.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign.
Strategy and Project Coordinator

The role of Strategy and Project Coordinator at ChatterBlast Media is an entry-level position within the strategy division of the company’s creative team. The role is 70% focused on building digital strategies and 30% focused on creative project coordination. 

This role involves research, critical thinking, deep knowledge of social media channels and their functions, and an ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Ideal candidates are curious communicators who are happy to work both collaboratively and independently. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research into digital channels, websites, and marketing collateral to inform strategy work
  • Conduct research into digital trends, channels, apps, and methodologies to inform strategy work
  • Analyze research findings according to strategy project needs
  • Compile research and analysis into client-facing presentations and documents
  • Work with strategy team to develop vision and contents of strategy projects
  • Support strategy team with additional project tasks as needed, including surveys and stakeholder interviews
  • Manage workflow process for additional creative projects, including interpreting project needs and deadlines to appropriate creative team members
  • Track internal and external progress to complete creative project deliverables
  • Collaborate with creative team to resource projects and provide support as needed

Intern Program

The ChatterBlast Media intern program, affectionately dubbed the Junior Blasters, is an opportunity for undergraduates to work in a fast-paced and collaborative agency in a variety of roles. CBM leadership will work with colleges to ensure students receive college credit in applicable programs. Junior Blasters have the opportunity to work directly with all agency staff, including the CEO and Creative Director.

Many of our interns have gone on to full-time positions within our agency and have been recommended for various positions in the regional marketing/advertising arena. If you're dynamic, disruptive, and disciplined, this is an internship for you. Interns should be available for 15 to 20 hours per week in our offices, have their own laptops/relevant software and have stellar skills for one of the following roles.

Live / Event Social Media Intern

ChatterBlast Media is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, and inquisitive Live / Event Social Media Paid Intern to support our tourism and major event practice. In this position you will be assisting our team with the content and engagement for the largest gate shows in the region like The Philadelphia Auto Show, The Philadelphia Flower Show and Welcome America.

Over the course of this fast-paced internship, you’ll get the full experience of how these large scale events operate and learn from Philadelphia’s top tourism and marketing agency. You will also receive experience in customer service by monitoring and engaging with large enthusiastic social media audiences. This position will require an organized individual who is willing to jump from one task to the other without skipping a beat. You should be ready to offer ideas and insights, but also to work with a well-structured team of experts who will be supporting your education and experience. This is a paid position.

Graphic Design Intern

ChatterBlast is seeking a rockstar graphic designer to help in the creation of groundbreaking multimedia content for both us and our ever-growing roster of clients. We want someone who thinks outside the box. Someone with wild ideas, who visualizes everything, and appreciates the art of meme culture.

You—our ideal candidate—have experience and a body of work in graphic design and light video editing. You can adapt the “go big or go home” mentality when it comes to the development of creative ideas.  You like to have fun, learn new things, and offer your own views.

In this role, you will work side by side with our full-time graphic designer. You will get incredible portfolio experience, great references, an amazing team of mentors, teachers and collaborators all in an incredibly fun and relaxed work environment. This is a monthly stipend position. Please include a digital portfolio in your application.

  • Assist in creating various design deliverables, including custom visual assets for social sites supporting visuals for creative content for all clients

You also have a background in video editing, pre- and post production, a passion for coming up with new ways to WOW audiences. You can adapt the “go big or go home” mentality when it comes to the development of creative ideas. You like to have fun, learn new things, and offer your own views.

Copywriter Intern

We’re looking for an exemplary wordsmith to help craft marketing and advertising messages that are as disruptive as they are unique. We want people who truly think outside the box—the kind of person with a multi-colored resume and who writes Flyers fanfic.

If you’re a marketing, advertising, or public relations person, be prepared to show creative copy that is not hampered by the constraints or judgments of those tired, boring, old institutions.

Students with backgrounds and experiences in: English, journalism, creative writing, songwriting, poetry, improv, theater, and comedy, you should apply. Students with different point of views, unusual voices, wacky thoughts, wild ideas, and untapped dreams are going to the FRONT of the line.

Ads & Analytics Intern

We’re looking for someone with a passion for making numbers work and getting results. The Ads & Analytics Intern will learn the ropes of advertising, from client introductions to strategy to ad placement and reporting. They’ll learn what works, what doesn’t, and how to use data to drive results for real clients. This is a monthly stipend position.

Responsibilities:

  • Basic reporting duties, i.e. compiling reports on Sprout, saving for review
  • Update pacing charts for each client each morning: amount spent, impressions, results
  • Place CBM blog boost ads and various client boosts/ads as needed
  • Send out ad pacing updates twice a week
  • Attend bi-weekly ads/analytics training sessions open to all staff (8 sessions)
  • Assist in compiling industry standard data for CBM’s 2019 cross-channel/cross-tactic benchmark report

Requirements:

  • 15-20 hours per week at our Center City office and access to your own laptop computer
Account Management Intern

ChatterBlast Media, an exciting and fast-growing Center City digital agency, is looking for an account management intern with the professionalism to deal with local and national level clients as well as the moxie to roll up their sleeves with our account team to deal with keeping all manner of day-to-day operations on track.

We are looking for someone who is hyper-organized with high attention to detail and a passion for social media, marketing and advertising. You’ll have plenty of client-facing opportunities, and the ability to contribute to the planning and execution of a variety of creative projects across all of our accounts. If you are curious, composed and have a passion for project management, get in touch. This is a monthly stipend position.

Responsibilities:

  • Sit in on key client meetings and calls and develop notes, next steps and key takeaways
  • Gather peer, competitor and client research to help inform creative briefs
  • Take an active role in account organization, project management and asset and resource tracking
  • Maintain monthly hourly reporting for all clients
  • Conduct influencer research and help establish engagement plans

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs, specifically Excel/Google Sheets
  • In-depth knowledge of social platforms and the specific marketing-related functions of each
  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and ability to balance good insights with short deadlines
