Au Revoir, Craig Beyerle: A Tribute to a Living Legend

ChatterBlast
August 19, 2016

Hey gang. Maybe you’ve heard the news, but if not, it’s with a heavy heart that we here at ChatterBlast say goodbye to legendary Blaster Craig Beyerle today.

Craig will be moving on to new adventures, but the impact he has left on CBM throughout the course of his tenure is unmistakeable. As our Operations Manager, Craig not only kept every little piece of running an agency in place but, from a top-down level, refined our little family’s character and voice into something wholly unique and very special. This quirky, wonderful place wouldn’t be the same without him.

We’re not exactly sure what life will be like starting Monday, sans Craig. It’s a little scary to think about. But in the meantime, all week long I (Marc) tracked down all the Blasters and asked them to share what exactly Craig means to them. The results are very touching. Please read this blog while listening to this song on repeat.

Ok. Got your tissues ready? Good. Deep breath! Here we go.

Here we are during Craig’s going-away party. It’s sad!

Grace: One of a kind. Harding working. Entertaining. That may not spell out C-R-A-I-G, but that’s what he is. As a new Blaster, Craig helped me with anything. Although he already had everything setup for me beyond expectations, I knew if I needed something he would have it. I hope outside of work we will still be able to share our love for the best two performers in the world, Beyonce and Britney Spears. Duh. Best of luck, Craig!

Matthew: I had the complete pleasure of working with Craig since he joined as an intern three years ago. Halfway through his term here, I turned over a lot of the day-to-day operation of the ChatterBlast social channels to Craig. It was a big deal for me to let go of that voice and content. Craig proved himself immediately by operationalizing what I had been doing haphazardly, and he brought quality even higher.

Evan: Craig has shaped ChatterBlast’s culture from his first day in the office. He’s been the smiling face at the front door, the gentle voice on the other end of the phone and the gossip queen of the office. Craig was always looking out for all of the Blasters, and quickly became a champion of #TeamChatterBlast. I’ll miss his good advice and dedication to the company, but I take solace knowing he is spreading his wings and excelling elsewhere. He’ll always be a part of our family.

Matthew: Wait, I’m not done yet. Craig made sure we had original imagery with every blog, and that we began to publish on a schedule.  The day he told me that he was delaying a blog because it was written in a way that he didn’t like and that I wouldn’t like either, I realized he had grown into an incredibly insightful marketer who cared about his company as much as its owners did.  Craig’s intelligence, insight, and—most importantly—friendship are irreplaceable.

Valerie: I first met Craig when he interviewed me for an intern position, and it was only a matter of time before he became one of my favorite things about showing up to work every day. He’s an encyclopedia of all things ChatterBlast, the best car ride companion on a trip to a South Philly storage unit and the purveyor of all the snack foods that keep our team running. Needless to say, there will be a massive Craig-shaped hole in our collective ChatterBlast heart when he leaves, but he will live on within CBM HQ forever. His new team is absolutely #blessed to have him and to say that he deserves this next step toward his world domination is a huge understatement.

Matthew: Oh… And we wouldn’t have a Flip Cup Tournament without Craig Beyerle. If you’re a fan of that event, give him a massive round of applause, ‘cause he drives it. While I’m devastated he’s leaving us, he can never leave Flip Cup.

Kelly: To be ignored by Craig on your first day of work is to be loved by Craig. Little did I know that we actually would have so much in common and grow to be close friends. When I saw him at the One Direction concert after my third day on the job, I knew this was the start of something beautiful. I know whenever I have hot gossip, need to hear a new hit song or need someone to braid my hair, I can count on him. I want to thank Craig for initiating me into this crazy little CBM family and for always bringing a smile to my face. I wish him so much luck in this next step but I’m thrilled to know he’s only a text message away. LYLAS.

Jackie: Little did I know that I would find the love of my life at ChatterBlast. Craig and I met when I came into the office for company photos (a few days before my official start date). We awkwardly met as I took it upon myself to sit in his seat, and it has all been history since. We’ve had a two-year running history of moments, but when it comes to work, he’s beaten out any Joan from Mad Men and kept us all in line and an organized unit. From Boxers to Chad and “K’s” and “dunno”s, he’s the breath of fresh (and bossy) air that greets you upon entering CBM HQ, and he’s my best friend.

Gianna: I remember meeting Craig when he interviewed me for an intern position almost a year ago. When I think of ChatterBlast, I think of Craig. He has kept me in the loop of everything pop culture as well as made me laugh on a daily basis. It has been a pleasure sitting next to him in the fun corner [Editor’s Note: this is not the actual Fun Corner] and I am positive that it will be lonely sitting here without him.

Shivani: Craig is incredibly hardworking and hilarious and I am constantly in awe of not only his work ethic, but his ability to be calm and patient in crazy and demanding situations. Craig will without a doubt be missed in this office, but it’s comforting knowing that he’s off to a brand new adventure that he couldn’t be more excited about. In the end, that’s all you can ask for. We’ll miss you so much Craig, but we know this isn’t the end. It’s only the beginning! (Excuse the cliche.)

Marc: I first met Craig almost three years ago, when he was one of my regular customers at a Center City Starbucks. It’s funny to think that years later, he would become an integral part of my work life and a close friend and confidant. Organizing CBM blog schedules and covering live events for clients always had an extra spark because it meant collaborating with Craig, an opportunity that I always leaped at. To me, Craig embodies ChatterBlast’s heart and soul. He will be dearly missed.

Kyle: It’s still super surreal to imagine a ChatterBlast without a Craig. He was one of the first people I met when I came in the doors of the old office over two years ago and has remained one of the most comforting constants ever since. To this day, those close to me will attribute the “k”s, “mhmm”s, and “dunno“s that have become part of my everyday vernacular to Craig’s influence.  His quick wit, work ethic and overall charisma will be sorely missed. I wish Craig the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Our precious mems of weeknight foam-filled dance parties at Woody’s will last forever.

Justin: I’m going to thoroughly miss having Craig around the office at ChatterBlast HQ. He was there to introduce me to the CBM family on my first day, and even got me the most amazing bag of popcorn to make me feel right at home! I’ve never felt so instantly connected to a new job, and I think Craig was a big part of making that happen. He’s the guy behind the scenes pushing all the buttons to get events, parties, meetings, and Flip Cup tournaments going off without a hitch. He’s your go-to source for lunch recommendations, the newest spot for after work cocktails, and always had the gossip whether it be Hollywood or Philly focused. He a force to be reckoned with in or out of the office.

Matthew: Craig will always be a Blaster and we’ll never forget him.
