This summer, ChatterBlast is lucky to have three spritely young interns in the office. They make a killer trifecta – one part eager, one part razor-sharp, and one part daring and ready to make some bold social media moves. Together they are a vital piece of the CBM team – stopping bad tweets in their tracks – but what are they like individually?
Emily Orr is a junior at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she studies Communications. “The weather and the southern charm are really unbeatable” she says, explaining why she enjoys living there eight months out of the year. In her free time Emily likes to dance; specifically pointe. This is probably why she can so gracefully shift from Facebook to Twitter to YouTube and back again. It’s dizzying just watching her.
Jade Taylor is a Communication Studies major at Community College of Philadelphia. Preparing to graduate in the spring of 2013, Jade has a couple of transfer options in mind, including Temple University and California State University. Yes, California! “A close friend and I plan on road-tripping to LA and moving there within a year or two,” Jade says. This sense of adventure pushes Jade to create bold and attention-getting posts.
Courtney Walton is a senior at Gettysburg College, majoring in English Literature and Religious Studies. Not only can she kick your butt with social media skills, but she’s also practiced in the art of Taekwondo. If you don’t find her in the gym, your best bet is to look in the Gettysburg Theater during the school year. Courtney is an avid thespian with her main focus being lighting and stage design. After all, what is an actress without a stage? To which we ask, what’s a tweeter without a 140-character platform?
