Six Brands That Won Back To The Future Day

Yesterday was a big day.  Doc Brown and Marty McFly travelled through time to October 21st, 2015. While this 30-year-long journey proved to be epic, many noticed things the film got right (and wrong) about how 2015 ended up looking. This historical cinematic day had every Back to the Future fan bursting with excitement and making all sorts of hoverboard-related jokes, but it didn’t just stop with the fans.

The Internet, quite frankly, wasn’t about to let this day go unnoticed. Many brands took to Twitter with their own clever twists to celebrate BTF Day. Below are the top six #winners.

Universal Pictures

Sure, the fifth Paranormal Activity movie came out, but Universal Pictures’ trailer for Jaws 19 was just simply the best. 50 Scales of Grey? #Amazing   Pepsi

Back to the Future got it right when they knew Pepsi (if you know me, you know I will always prefer Pepsi over Coke) would still be around 30 years later. To celebrate, say hello to Pepsi Perfect.     USA TODAY

The USA TODAY cover page yesterday was the actual cover page from the movie. Twitter practically exploded by this move.

JetBlue

JetBlue takes the simple-yet-effective approach to celebrating BTF Day. That hashtag though. #McFLYing? #Brillz.   Olive Garden

To Olive Garden, unlimited breadsticks is like a DeLorean DMC-12 to Back to the Future. You can’t have one without the other.

Target

Everything about this is just on point. Content, imagery, hashtag and link. Way to pull the #justbeingcute card, Target. Well done.
